How it identifies itself

Every request carries this user-agent, so you can identify, rate-limit, or block the bot by name.
What it does
- Fetches publicly available tournament listing and detail pages to keep this directory's event data current.
- Crawls politely: about one request per second, single-threaded, roughly once per day per site, backing off on errors.
- Honors robots.txt.
What it collects — and never collects
Event-level facts only: tournament names, dates, locations and venues, age divisions, entry and gate fees, games guaranteed, and team counts. Every listing links back to the official source for registration.
It never collects images or logos, player names or profiles, rosters, or any personal information about minors.

Questions, corrections, or a request to stop crawling your site: email bot@truetourney.com. Opt-out requests are honored. You can also disallow TrueTourneyBot in your robots.txt, which the bot respects automatically.
